How cat sitting works with Happy Pawz

Cats are territorial, and a cattery asks them to give up the one thing they rely on. Happy Pawz cat sitting keeps your cat in its own home, on its own routine, with a sitter dropping in to feed, change water, sort the litter tray, give any medication and spend proper time with them.

No cattery, no carrier

The single biggest source of stress for most cats is the journey. Home visits remove it entirely.

Litter, feeding and fresh water

Every visit. Trays are scooped or changed, bowls washed, and anything unusual is reported.

Medication and older cats

Tablets, transdermal gels, renal diets and thyroid medication are routine work for experienced cat sitters.

Company, not just a food bowl

An automatic feeder cannot tell you your cat has stopped eating. A sitter can, and will.

Photo proof every visit

You see your cat, not just a note saying the visit happened.

Frequently asked questions

How many visits a day does a cat need?

One visit a day suits many confident, healthy adult cats. Two is usual for kittens, elderly cats, cats on medication and multi-cat households. Your sitter will advise honestly at the meet and greet.

My cat hides from strangers. Is that a problem?

No, and it is very common. Your sitter will still confirm food is being eaten, the litter tray is being used and your cat is well, and will report anything that concerns them.

Can you give medication?

Many of our sitters do. Say so when you book so you are matched with a provider who is comfortable with it.

Will you use my own food and litter?

Yes. Sudden diet changes upset cats. Your sitter works with what your cat already eats and uses.

Do you cover indoor and outdoor cats?

Both. Whether your cat goes out, and how, is agreed with you in advance and followed exactly.
