Insured, vetted local dog walkers covering solo and small-group walks, with a written report and photos after every single walk.
How dog walking works with Happy Pawz
A Happy Pawz walk is not a name ticked off a list. Your walker logs the walk as it happens - start and finish times, toilet breaks, water, treats and anything worth flagging - and you get that timeline, plus photos, in your Happy Pawz account the moment the walk ends.
Solo or small-group walks
You choose. Some dogs thrive in a group; reactive, elderly or nervous dogs are walked on their own.
A report after every walk
Duration, distance, toilet breaks, water, treats and photos. Three levels of detail, from a simple time-and-notes report up to a recorded GPS route of exactly where you dog went.
Live GPS route tracking
Where the service is offered, the walk is recorded and the route appears on a map in your report. You can see the walk your dog actually had.
Meet and greet first
You meet your walker, and your dog meets your walker, before any booking is confirmed.
Zero booking fees
The price you see is the price you pay. Happy Pawz charges pet owners nothing on top.
Booking in four steps
- 1. Tell us about your pet. Species, breed, age, temperament and anything a provider needs to know before they meet them.
- 2. Choose your dates. Pick the days you need, and morning, afternoon or both.
- 3. Pick your provider. You only see providers who cover your postcode and are genuinely free on your dates, with their own prices shown up front.
- 4. Meet, then confirm. A meet and greet comes first. Nothing is locked in until you are happy.

Why owners choose Happy Pawz
- Zero booking fees for owners. The provider's price is the whole price. We do not add a service fee on top.
- You choose the person, not a rota. You book a named provider and keep the same one, so your pet is not meeting a stranger every week.
- A written report every time. Times, care given, mood and photos, in your account.
- Verified providers. Providers are reviewed and approved before they can take bookings, and carry public ratings and reviews from real completed bookings.
- Local to West Lothian. Not a national call centre. The people on this site live and work here.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a dog walk?
Walk length is set by the provider you choose and shown on their profile before you book. Most walkers offer a standard walk with the option of a longer one.
Will my dog be walked with other dogs?
Only if you want them to be. Every provider states whether they offer solo walks, group walks or both, and you pick when you book.
What happens if it rains?
Walks go ahead in normal Scottish weather. In genuinely dangerous conditions - ice, storms, extreme heat - your walker will contact you and agree an alternative, such as a shorter walk or indoor enrichment.
Do I need to be home?
No. Key handling and access arrangements are agreed at the meet and greet.
How do I know the walk happened?
You get a walk report with timings, a photo and, depending on the service level, the recorded route. It lands in your account as soon as the walk ends.
